This is an archive of the 2009 Mad Robin Ball web site. To learn about the upcoming Mad Robin Ball, see our current ball page.
Mad Robin flies for the eighth time on June 13, 2009, in the elegant Hermann Sons Hall in Petaluma, California. This year we feature as dancing mistress our very own Kalia Kliban, programmer and lead caller at our Sebastopol Dance. As a relatively new ECD caller, Kalia has established a strong following thanks to her unflappable patience and good cheer leading our local dance as well as balls and dance weekends elsewhere. Propelling us acrosss the dance floor will be the exciting Seattle band Tricky Brits, including Anita Anderson, Dave Bartley, Betsy Cooper, and Sande Gillette. As usual, we'll follow the Saturday afternoon workshop and evening ball with a Sunday potluck brunch and special Sebastopol dance to make it a full weekend of fun.
Mad Robin is an English Country Dance Ball organized by the English dance group in Sebastopol, founded by Lydee Scudder and sponsored by the North Bay Country Dance Society. A chance to dress up, meet new dancers, explore Sonoma County and dance to wonderful live music. We hope to see you at the next Mad Robin Ball!
